Precision Measuring Center Klingelnberg P40

red. Kamil Kucharski

It is one of the most up-to-date measuring centres which works in an automated cycle and is used for measuring gears and other machine elements manufactured with the highest precision. The measuring centre works in a closed loop with the grinder, i.e. based on the geometry of teeth, it generates alternations of grinder settings which are automatically introduced to the programme that controls gear cutting. Therefore, it is enough to do only one trial cut of a gear to start a series under guarantee of the compliance with the design assumptions. The software of the measuring machine allows to measure cylindrical gears, bevel gears and shafts and it can be extended with other modules.

Technical data:

  1. measurement of the toothing of cylindrical gears, toothing of bevel gears and rotationally symmetrical objects with the possibility of extension with further software modules and equipment (e.g. for roughness measurement),
  2. component clamping range HG <800mm,
  3. vertical measuring range with the possibility of continuous measurements (Z axis): Hz <550mm,
  4. horizontal measuring range with the possibility of continuous measurements (X axis): ± 115mm,
  5. module (in terms of cylindrical gear): 0.5 - 15 mm,
  6. tooth helix angle: 0 - 90 °,
  7. mounting and measuring diameter of cylindrical gears: up to 400mm,
  8. acceptable item weight - up to 300 kg,
  9. acceptable moment of inertia up to 10 kg ∙ m2,
  10. real positions of the axis and K3D measuring head recorded by high resolution measuring systems (up to <0.01μm),
  11. bringing the measuring head to the object using direct, backlash-free line and rotary drives,
  12. equipping with a temperature compensation system of the measured object,
  13. high thermal stability of the machine, permissible temperature change max. 2 ºC / h, permissible ambient temperature min. from 15 to 35 ºC,
  14. support for DIN and AGMA standards.

Measurement uncertainty:

toothing:

  • profile according to VDI / VDE 2612: group I
  • tooth line according to VDI / VDE 2612: group I
  • Pitch according to VDI / VDE 2613: Group I

3D measurements:

  • lengthwise measurement according to VDI / VDE 2617: U1 = 1.8 + L / 250 μm
  • rotation and in plane according to DIN 7184: <0.5 μm
