This unique stand for fatigue strength of bevel and hypoid gears is used for programming research cycles which project the real conditions of gear performance. Tests conducted in the laboratory allow comprehensive study of a new design in respect of load capacity, vibration emission and the quality of performance as well as the safety of use, which is especially important for aircrafts. At the stand it is possible to carry out the analysis of the tooth contact patternand the kinematic accuracy of the loaded tooth contact, to measure the frequency of vibrations of the gear elements (spectral analysis of sound) and to measure the deflection at the root of a tooth in a dynamic mode with the use of the telemetry system. The measurements of the properties of functional gears can be conducted in their nominal setting and by taking into account assembly errors and housing production deviations, which can occur in practice. Research cycles can be programmed individually and the measurement of torque, power and other parameters can be conducted in a continuous way.
